WWR recently received several Westies retired from a breeding kennel. The transition from a breeding kennel to a being a cherished pet takes time, patience on the part of humans and courage on the part of the Westies. It will be several weeks before they are ready to be adopted and when they are, first priority will be those applicants already on our waiting list.
Meadow is a pretty 5-year-old, 16 pound retired mill dog. She is currently receiving medical care and a much needed rest as she heals from her surgeries. Meadow is very shy with humans. However, she is doing a great job learning how to eat from a bowl and navigate stairs. She does well with the other dogs in her foster home, although at this time she prefers to watch rather than join in the fun. We hope to provide an update in the next few weeks on her personality as she becomes more confident.
